At Owning the Goal, we believe that valuable insights come from a diverse range of experiences. That's why we interview guests from many subject areas—including Sales, AI, Marketing, Podcasting, and more—who share their wisdom, strategies, and stories to inspire our growing audience.
These insightful conversations are designed to give you practical tips and fresh perspectives to help you succeed in both your personal and professional life.
Like you, I'm more than just a salesperson, which is why this isn't just a podcast about sales. I'll talk about my other passions too, like books, sports, music, mental fitness, and physical fitness—and how they all relate to hitting our goals. Occasionally, I’ll do solo episodes where I share insights from these areas and explore how lessons in these fields can benefit us all. Because success in sales is success in life!
I’m a New York City–based father, salesperson, musician, fitness instructor, soccer goaltender, podcaster, and lifelong learner — grateful for every day I get to show up and keep growing. I have two amazing kids: one is a student at the University of Wisconsin, and the other is a high school junior who’s headed for great things.
I grew up on Long Island and studied Business at Drexel University in Philadelphia, focusing on Sales and Marketing. Music has always been part of my life — I’ve played drums and bass in both original and tribute bands, and even toured regionally with a signed group to promote our releases.
After a year-long adventure in Tucson, I returned to New York and began a 35+ year career in advertising and media sales. I’ve worked with iconic brands like Muscle & Fitness, Good Housekeeping, Country Home, and Rolling Stone, and held roles ranging from Account Executive to CRO, with experience in both established companies and digital startups.
Along the way, I also spent 23 years as an indoor cycling instructor at top NYC gyms, and 16 years drumming and managing a classic rock band that toured throughout the Tri-State area. Today, I work in the mobile and tech advertising space while continuing to hone my craft in sales. I’ve recently picked the sticks back up to play with a progressive rock tribute band performing in legendary NYC venues.
